On the day after we arrived we took Mum in Law into Eastbourne.  Firtsly we went to her favourite garden centre, as she wanted to buy some Autumn fruiting raspberry canes. I bought some more mini daffs, and we had lunch in their cafe. We drove into the town centre but she didn't seem to want to look around the shops much at all. She did come into Lakeland with me though. The next day she wanted to go to a garden centre nearer to Hastings, as she needed some stakes to train the raspberry canes. We had lunch at that garden centre, too. We could not find any stakes, but I found some more mini daff bulbs. I was so behind with my planting, but only had the hanging baskets to finish. Then we had to take her to B&Q to find some wooden stakes for the canes. We travelled back  home on the Thursday, and the journey was a bit slow in parts.
Most of the rest of the month I spent on my own as husband was on jury service at a Crown court. He took a kindle with him as there is a lot of hanging about. Actually, he got a half day off as one of the barristers had to be elsewhere, so after lunch we went over to Berkhamsted for a look around. The case was meant to last 2 weeks, but in reality lasted even longer. After the first day, he didn't take the car, either I went with him, and brought the car back, or our Daughter took him, as she works nearby.
Then he usually got the bus home,as there is a bus from that town centre which passes our door.
I had been intending to start painting the living room ceiling, but felt so tired and unmotivated, that it didn't get started.
