Correction.

 Just as a 'by the way', I think that the post below the most recent one, is one of a memory from 2016, which had been hanging around as a draft, for the last few years. I inadvertently published it when I opened the blog. How we came to live in Cheshire is something that got lost in the intervening years.
We knew we had to persuade Mum in law that she needed more help, but she was resisting all offers form church friends. 

We were on our way to Wales in October 17, and the car came to an abrupt halt. To cut a rather long story short we were eventually rescued, the car was fixed, we set off home after most  of aw eek of bussing and cycling. however, just before we reached our sin's home in Cheshire, it was obvious the car had been badly fixed, and we were stranded in Cheshire for a week. Obviously, the subject of Mum in law came up. We had been searching estate agents in Hemel, but suitable properties were out of our price range.
Daughter in law  is an occupational therapist, and would be an asset to us, asked if we had looked locally, I had but agreed to another search, We came up with this one, which was ideal, so set about telling Grandma, who then told her helping friends, and they gradually , quietly withdrew their support for legitimate reasons. She then had no alternative but to agree to come and live with us.
It taught us that despite the 2 car breakdowns, and expense, God has a purpose in everything. 
When the clutch went again in York last year, 8 years later on our way to ride the Flying Scotsman, We wondered what the lesson would be.
It certainly led us to rethink our Recovery service, and this year we have saved a couple of hundred pounds by changing to another provider.

Another 'by the way is that in 2021 we acquired a Border Collie female pup, who is such a sweet girl. husband does sall of the walking! Tom sadly, is no longer with us, but was eventually replaced by Finn, an excitable lovable t2 year old BC. We are blessed.
